 "Liu Xiu beef noodle" originate from Han Dynasty and it is named by the Liu Xiu who was the first emperor of Guangwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Guangwu emperor of Liu Xiu was the nine grandson of Liu Bang who was the founder of Han Dynasty. He was the best emperor who could use talent person well ,like using military forces,resist right most and had high knowledge in the history of China.He likes cultivating when he was very young . He always said "food is the god of people" and he thinks the agriculture is base of the country.He opens the " Guangwu's resurgence" in the history for diligenting in government affairs and loveing his people.
At the beginning of A.D. 23, Liu Xiu led the main forces and went on a punitive expedition in Wang Mang's rebel army, and gaint a complete victory in the border of the Western Regions (Today is the area of Gansu).He ordered reliving the common people in the place of the zhaos by war and visited privately in order to know the people's feelings.
In a noodle restaurant which was setting up by Cogongrass, he heard many people commend the magnanimous act of the Han army and felt very gratified . He greeted his retinue having meal with him. When the noodle serving on the dining table ,he saw the noodle thick as hair .He can not to sighing that "in so bitter cold place there is so dexterous craftsmanship".He gave a Canadian appreciation after he have the noodle "This noodle slides very much, the soup is very clear and taste delicious, can cures the cold,and has a happy feeling .The delicious food in noodle also as it "when he ask about the procedure ,the owner of the restaurant replied:" the wheat flour must rub witn hands repeatedly, and pull one times and times , the soup should allocate carefully and boil it with slow fire. The two charaters of precise and concentrated are indispensable." After listening that Liu Xiu said in high feeling "make the noodle like this , every works also should so".His mood was joyful ,and writed down "The first noodle in the country" to the restaurant . He said to the owner "So unique skill,you should retain development".before he left this place.
In june 6th of A.D. 25 years, in the place of Gaocheng Liu Xiuyu proclaimed himself as a emperor, chenged the Yuan to the Eastern Han Dynasty Jianwu.
